Hi everyone!

I am a huge fan of visual novels, and Bible Black is one of my all-time favorites. However, the game is quite dated — it runs at 640x480 resolution and often has compatibility issues on modern systems. That’s why I decided to create a modernized version of this classic.

What I’m Doing:

• Recreating the original script in the Ren’Py engine, preserving the official translation (with typos fixed) and the original voice acting. All transitions and animations will stay as faithful to the original as possible.
• Expanding all backgrounds (BGs) and illustrations (CGs) to 1920x1080 resolution. I use non-generative AI for upscaling (no new details!) and generative AI for extending some images artwork (filling empty spaces).
• Recreating the UI: In general, I use modern Ren'Py UI, but most UI elements are taken from the original game to preserve the style.
• Gallery (sprites, artworks, scenes) and music player will be available in the final version, as it was in the original game.
• Multi-platform support: The current build is available for Windows, Linux, Mac and Android
